Blessings Spring Cherry Blossoms,

Blessings to you all as we begin the warmth of spring. I love this time of year as it reminds me to renew, rejuvenate and relax. Ocean and I are all settled into our new home in lower Roberts Creek on Beach avenue. We LOVE being so close to the BIG Ocean and we are so happy to be living on land with a beautiful family. We are so happy to be living in community and able to just walk or ride as everything is so close by.  My big brother Rama and my Mom and her husband and heaps of dear friends live all within walking distance. We are so blessed! A reminder that I will no longer be providing yoga props as I plan on riding my bike to class to support mother earth and treat myself to a healthier me. Please bring your own props to class including (2 yoga mats if you want extra cushioning on the floor, a yoga strap, yoga firm block and foamy block) An eye pillow, bolster and blanket are optional.

Ocean is growing up so fast. He has alot of words that he is exploring now but Happy Happy Happy seem to be his favorite amongst them all. Ocean is very proud of his poo poo and pee pee in his potty. Mommy is pretty excited about this new movement too!!! Ocean's Grandad came to visit last week. Ocean calls him Dad dad. I included a picture to sum up our visit together. I am very excited about this break between session as it is a perfect opportunity to focus on my health and wellness. I plan on running the trails of Cliff Gilker, attending coast Yoga classes, visiting friends in the city, Yoga in the city (yoga hopping replaces bar hopping),  preparing to record my new meditation album, playing lot's with little o, Bike rides, Rollerblading, receiving yummy massage and learning how to integrate more raw food into my diet. 19 days of renewal. YIPEEEEE!!!

The fall term ends Thursday April 1st. If you signed up for Saturday 1 time a week yoga you will have 2 make up classes for the new term. The new spring session begins Tuesday April 20th. The spring session lasts for 8 weeks. Then BEACH YOGA is back at Chaster house!!!! Every Thursday and Saturday!!! Myah's Story

I have a quest and I can't do it on my own. If you can help me financially to achieve my goal or support me by spreading the word, I would appreciate it so much. My name is Myah. I am sixteen years old. I was born with an underdeveloped left cerebellum. This affects my physical balance and co ordination of muscles. My speech is somewhat unclear and I stumble a lot. I took a long time to start to walk and I used a walker until I was eight years old. I could have used it longer but I started homeschooling, so I used my Mom and the walls of my house to help me get around. By the time I was nine my brother had taught me how to run by chasing me and yelling until I was forced to move fast enough to get away from him. It may sound bad but I laughed so hard I fell down and after he helped me up we did it again. I now walk a lot and I am pretty good on my own. I work at it everyday. You can tell that I am somehow different by the way I walk and talk. But who isn't different in some way?

The biggest thing I have always known was that anything is possible. My family helped me understand this and I have proven its truth many times. Nobody thought I would do any of the things I have done. But as soon as they saw that I wouldn't give up, everyone I have ever known got behind me and cheered me on. That's what I am hoping for again. This is my story.

Over the last few months I have been thinking about how fragile life can be and how difficult it is sometimes and how wonderful it is too. For example it's wonderful when you decide to do something and because you believe you can, it comes true. This has happened to me. I decided that I wanted to help people, especially kids facing challenges. I also decided that I want to face a challenge myself and go to Machu Picchu. When I was looking for an organization that worked with disabled kids somewhere in the developing world, I found Equip KIDS International. This is a small group who provide assistive equipment and education for disabled kids and their families. They will eventually be able to help kids all over the world who need them, but for now they are helping kids in Cusco, Peru. Then I found out that they had a fund raising event each year. I was surprised to find out that the event was a 9 day trek that climbed to Machu Picchu.

Both of my intentions can be met. So I emailed the founder of Equip KIDS. She said she would be honoured to have me on her trek especially because the kids in Cusco don't have any role models at all because there is such cultural and economic bias against people with disabilities that they are mostly hidden away and not expected to do anything. I think it is important for me to show them and their families that they can do and be anything they want.

So I have decided that my Mom and I will be going on this trip. We cannot afford to do this on our own. This last year was difficult for my family, financially speaking. I want to raise the money for the plane tickets and the 9 day trek. I am going to climb up to see Machu Picchu. I am going to see the kids in Cusco. I am going to show them and everyone else that they can do anything. And this is just the beginning! Anything is possible.

I will be attending Snatam Kaur's concert on Sunday April 4th and wanted to invite you to come. I play alot of her beautiful music in class.
